Course title - Sivananda Yoga

12 week course beginning 8th September 2008 and running through to 1st December 2008 with a break for half term on the 27th October 2008. The Coach House, Quarry Road, Headington, Oxford. For map details see the timetable section.

Course outline

Sivananda Yoga is a classical Indian system of Yoga. 12 core postures are taught, focusing on balancing the body through stimulation of glands, balancing of internal organs and creating a stronger, more healthy body. Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Dhrana (mindfulness) are also integral parts of the system.

The course will run for 12 weeks, exposing the student to all parts of the practice in a structured way.

The course is suitable for all levels of experience. Mats are provided. Just wear clothing that won't restrict your movement and bring a bottle of water.

At the end of the 12 weeks there will be an opportunity of another course for those who wish to refine what has been learnt and deepen their yoga practice.

Pricing

The 12-week course will be charged at £72 working out to be £6.00 per session. The course charges are payable in advance and bookings will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Course fees are non-returnable or refundable and attendance is the responsibility of the student.
